The Tartan Army. What are they all about...?

Does anyone agree that the Tartan Army are just a bunch of businessmen on an expense account getting away from the office for a few days?

They're a national embarrasment with their kilts and CAT boots. No wonder the Scottish national team is so rubbish just now with fans like that.

The team being rubbish is nothing to do with the 'TARTAN ARMY'. All their doing is showing a bit of national pride! At least their better than the loud, obnoxious, English lager louts! You don't see them getting barred from countries, and everyone dreading them coming to their city!

The Tartan Army are the best supporters in the world. Some of them are businessmen and it goes to show that the Scottish team can attract all types. Wherever the Army goes it leaves many happy memories behind. People end up getting married. New songs are introduced. The local police are sad to see them go. What is absolutely amazing is that no matter how bad the team are doing the Tartan Army are there to support them. Scottish football is on its way back to the top and that is where they belong. We may not win the World Cup or even the European Cup but we will be there competing. For a small nation we have a great track record. A few poor results under the German influence will not put us off. Now that we are back under a Scottish Manager we will see progress. Do not be so miserable, come and have some fun with the TA. The singing is superb, the jokes are fantastic, the company is first class and the pride in Scotland just has to be felt.

As a member of the tartan army and for one not a businessman on expenses to go to watch a national football team who is now starting to make progress after the appointment of Walter Smith. The tartan army are a credit to their nation, the football team may not be getting admiration from FIFA for doing their bit on the pitch but every nation visited (Holland, Italy, France ect) would welcome the tartan army with open arms unlike some nations, at least with Scotland national team not qualifying for international tournaments at the moment FIFA now have a hard job picking the best fans for a tournament it is the only award Scotland seem to be awarded every time we are at the major tournaments, let hope the fans lucky enough to be going to the world cup go and do what they should do enjoy themselves, the memories must be getting old.
