Right now they are not that good. Not good enough to get in any major tournaments, however they have a very young squad (with the core being Celtic players). They could become quite good in the next 5 or so years.

If people in Scotland are basing their vote for independence on the effects of the national footballing team and league they really do need their head testing. I am not Scottish, a mere Sassonaxe, but please if you are going to vote to leave the union do it for some other reason than you think it will make a closer SPL or that Scotland will do better in the World Cup

*****AND OF COURSE THE GREAT JOCK STIEN, WHO, WITH GLASGOW CELTIC WERE TE FIRST BRITISH CLUB TO WIN THE EUROPEAN CUP IN 1967.

For me the Scotland football team

is now just in bad mood.

But they always played nicer football than England.

15 years ago english clubs were good just because

thay have had a scots in teams.

That was the last good(ish) team we had.



Bertie Vogts started at the bottom and now we're improving.



Under Walter Smith we've had a few good results,hopefully the promising youngsters will get a look in soon.
