why have a lot of rangers fans turned on ferguson....i admit i questioned his performances in some games..but the abuse the guy is getting is ridiculous.......why should we turn on our own players just to please other people....barry may not have had a good season ..fair enough but he has done well for rangers..and scotland too except for one slip up...is it no time to gie it a rest....

I agree, it all seems over the top. I think its just coz he was such a highly respected player and seemed to be a true professional and a true rangers man. A lot of people feel let down by him. I think Walter Smith has done Barry a dis-service concerning this. HIs reaction was over the top and I think he was influenced by the sfa and the press too much. This is probably why the press and people on the net are still stirring it up.

BF done 2 silly things but he is still a young man, we shouldn't expect him to act sensible all the time, he has been well behaved for years so doesn't deserve this, especially from his own so called fans.

If BF had been playing well I think this would have been forgotten about by now.

There isnt a single player who has been consistent at Ibrox this season, so i dont think that can be used as an argument, given Barry's form had improved game-on-game since the turn of the year, give or take the odd occasion.

He made a mistake. But this is only food for the people who still cant forgive him for going to Blackburn. What i say to them is grow up - you dont act like that with Miller (anymore) and certainly didnt with Craig Moore. Any more examples?

I said it when it went down, it is wrong the way a loyal servant of rangers and the game has been treated.

I like others have had our fun with this, but I think the guy has been hard done, after years of stress and service, he gets a kick in the teeth for his trouble.

Baz might have acted childish, but who doesn't every now (McDonald at weekend)and then, albeit his being very public, Walters was just as public and by his own admission a mistake alluding to Barrys playing career being over and allowing it to run without rectification for a fortnight..

There`s a lot of Politics to why :hers just some; 23 games`s unbeaten without him BB that's GOT to tell us something. The fans seen as "Teachers pet"and most of that is down to Walter=(it worked before and we did not lose) playing him week in week out when he just has not been doing the business .At the end of the day i want to see the best inform players playing, not the sentiment of the "old pals act" ..you canny live in the past in fitbaw ..That`s him out now for the rest of the season, let`s see what happens.

I agree, one average, injury effected season doesn't make him a bad player and as a Scotland fan I fear we will miss him.

I don't think every Rangers fan has forgiven Fergie for running to Blackburn to "further his career" before returning with the usual "only club I ever wanted to play for" routine.

The last few weeks have proved a perfect excuse for them to get on his back again

ALTHOUGH I THINK FERGUSON IS OVERRATED I THINK HIS PUNISHMENT WAS WAY OTT AS HE HAS BEEN A GOOD SERVANT TO RANGERS. BUT I FEEL THAT BOTH SCOTLAND AND RANGERS PLAY BETTER WITHOUT HIM IN THE TEAM (IMO).

SO HURRY UP AND START PLAYING HIM AGAIN BEFORE THE SEASON FINISHES LOL

Yeah unfortunately some people are to quick to judge when things turn bad. He is still a legend in my eyes and is someone I have looked up to for years now. It is clearly manipulated by the media only to keep sales margins up but so many fall for it time and time again. People need to start thinking for themselves.

Well said - If he has in fact played his last game for the club I hope he is remembered for the performances he has put in in previous seasons and not just how he has performed recently.

Agreed, hes been ruled out for the rest of the season,be a shame if he doesnt get a chance to say goodbye to the fans.

He doesnt deserve that.

He's in a highly paid job and gladly took on the mantle,.. he knew the penalty for failure so let's get it right bluerinse, he's led Rankers through one of their worse decades and helped make Strachan look much better than he is, it was more luck ( skulduggery) than skill that robbed Celtic of the two titles yous did get..2 last minute goals at Motherwell and a dodgy high scoring win.
